How It Works
Controlled Cooling: Once the applicator is in place, it begins to deliver controlled cooling to the fat cells. The cooling panels lower the temperature of the fat cells to a level that causes them to freeze and undergo a process known as apoptosis, or cell death.
Fat Cell Disruption: The freezing temperature disrupts the structural integrity of the fat cells without harming the surrounding tissues, such as the skin, muscles, or nerves. The targeted fat cells are more susceptible to the cold than other cells, leading to their destruction while leaving other cells unharmed.
Apoptosis: Following the treatment, the frozen fat cells undergo apoptosis, a natural process in which the damaged cells are gradually broken down and eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system.
Elimination: Over time, typically several weeks to months, the lymphatic system collects the broken-down fat cells and eliminates them from the body. This results in a reduction of fat in the treated area. 1-3 sessions are normally enough.
