A study conducted in 2004 aimed to determine the efficacy of a gel containing 2 percent phytonadione, 0.1 percent retinol, and 0.1 percent vitamins C and E in diminishing dark under-eye circles and wrinkles on the lower eyelids of adults. The results indicated that the gel’s topical application was fairly or moderately effective in reducing dark circles, particularly in cases of hemostasis, among Japanese adults. Additionally, the gel showed potential in slightly reducing wrinkles.
For addressing under-eye hyperpigmentation, dermatologists often recommend skin-lightening creams containing ingredients like azelaic acid, kojic acid, glycolic acid, or hydroquinone. Some of these creams, with lower concentrations of the active ingredients, are available over the counter, including our product.
